The Aqua+ is a soft, flexible silicone sleeve that fits over a Nucleus 5 or Nucleus 6 CP810 or CP900 series processor. When used with the Aqua+ Coil, you or your child can enjoy water activities where additional protection is needed.
A water protection rating of IP68 is your invitation to get wet without cumbersome cases or annoying cables – the Aqua+ sits comfortably on the ear and can be submerged under 3 metres of water for up to 2 hours.
The Aqua+ allows you to swim or bathe with your sound processor without the need for any cumbersome cables, cases or a unique sound processor specifically for water activities. The Aqua+ fits over your Nucleus Sound Processor behind your ear, making it easy to wear as normal.
For parents, your child will love the fact that they can enjoy the pool or beach, just like their friends. You will have the confidence that your child will be able to hear you in and around water and not miss a word
The Aqua+ flexible sleeve surrounds your processor in a watertight housing and a specially designed waterproof coil connects the sound processor within the sleeve.
This kit contains everything you need to use your Cochlear processor with the Aqua+ in water. It is available in a choice of monaural (for 1 processor) or binaural (for 2 processors).
It's durable, reusable, compact, and of course, waterproof!
The Cochlear Nucleus® Aqua+ Coil (with integrated coil cable) is used in place of your usual coil and coil cable while your sound processor is inside your Aqua+. It has a special plug that creates a seal when connected to your sound processor’s coil socket through the coil plug hole in Aqua+.
As with your usual coil, a coil magnet screws into the Aqua+ coil and holds it against your implant. The magnet strength and placement when used with Aqua+ should be the same as your standard coil.
