Description

Newly Diagnosed Weekend

If you are a parent with a child who has recently been diagnosed with hearing loss, you are invited to join us at our Newly Diagnosed Weekend.

When: 9th to 11th October 2026

Where: Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise

Chime Newly Diagnosed Weekend is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain all of the information you want under one roof. It's also an opportunity to meet other families who are going through the same thing. Our comprehensive workshops will address vital issues such as communication development, hearing aid care, and using assistive technology at school and at home.

Our Goal:

Our primary goal is to create a supportive and confidential space where families can freely share their experiences. Throughout the weekend, you'll have the chance to engage with our team of experts and other families in a relaxed and social atmosphere. While parents participate in the workshops, a dedicated professional childcare service will be available.

Childcare Services:

Childcare services are available on the hotel grounds for children aged 4 months to 12 years.

Registration and Details:

The cost of attending the weekend is €100 per adult and €50 per child (4mths to 15years) and this includes overnight accommodation on Friday and Saturday night, all meals and creche.
